Lucy has a Dr appointment on Monday. Since she no longer has her port, she had her blood drawn the standard way from a vein in her arm. It was really difficult for her to tame her fear and deal with the pain. Most of the numbers that came back were good. Her white blood cell count is pretty low, however. It should be a minimum of 4500. In February, her count was just over 3000. This time it was 1900. The doctor is not concerned because he says it is common for it to take awhile for the counts to come back up and any infection she has been exposed to can cause the numbers to drop. It is a good reminder to me though that she is still recovering. Thankfully, most of the time she is feeling great. Her appetite and energy are pretty good and she is as spunky as ever. Her hair is growing back and we are excited to see how it is when it gets longer. As a family we are starting to get back on our feet. I have to keep reminding myself to give us time to relax and have fun. Everyday life can be overwhelming, as I'm sure you have all experienced. We are hoping to have an "end of cancer" party for Lucy on April 2nd at our church FCF. I will post more details soon. But save the date if you think you can make it. Thank you again for all your prayers and support! You all have taught me so much about the power of prayer and the beauty of the body. Prayer needs: - Continued protection for Lucy against infection of any kind - continued recovery for Lucy physically and emotionally - courage and comfort for her next appointment in 4 weeks - wisdom for me as I figure out how to catch her up in school after a semester off - continued rebuilding for all of the family - that we would honor God well as witnesses of His work through this process

Something fun:

We got to attend a painting event at the Cancer Support Center here in Flagstaff. Lucy enjoyed painting and then had fun trying on a bunch of the wigs they have.
