Life right now is about learning to have faith in the fire. Our time at my sister's so far has been a mix of good times and hard times. Lucy has really enjoyed spending time with her cousins and having a chance to play and just be a kid. But she has also been struggling with not eating or drinking enough, and generally not feeling well. She is currently really struggling with constipation and that has been hard. Please pray for her. It is so hard to see this precious little girl in so much pain. We are in constant prayer for her faith and our own through this.
Good news! We met with the doctor on Friday and we now have a tentative plan. As long as she stays healthy enough, we don't have any Dr appointments this next week. We will have a short appointment on the 6th of October, an all day chemo session and a bone marrow biopsy on Friday the 8th, and then on Sunday the 10th we will be admitted to the hospital for round two of chemo. This round will be very intense and similar to the first official round of chemo we just finished. Please pray for our time off and our preparation for the next round.
The doctor was happy with where her numbers were on Friday, so her body continues to respond correctly to all the medicine. I am giving her daily shots to help her white blood cells recover quickly between rounds.
Thank you so much for your prayers. We need them and we are encouraged by all the support we have received.
Also, since we have moved to the east side of town, please send any packages or letters to my sister's house: April Edwards 11119 E Pueblo Ave, Mesa, AZ 85208
Prayer needs: - Lucy's emotional and physical health while she is at home - For strength for all of us caring for her - For JD as he makes a quick trip home for work stuff - For God to give us all greater faith in Him through this challenge
May we laugh through the tears and may our faith be forged strong through this fire. We must always believe that God is in control and that He is good.
